The Perkins Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting on November 2nd to promote Officer’s Lanyi and Bauman to Sergeant positions effective November 4th!
Officer Lanyi has spent his entire career with the Perkins Township Police Department. He has served as a Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, and is a member of the Regional Special Response Team. Chief Musser stated that “he is an exceptional Officer that is driven by his passion for community oriented policing.” Officer Lanyi volunteers at most of the Township events and spearheads the Police Department Car Show each year.
Officer Bauman has spent his entire career with the Perkins Township Police Department. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Police Science. He has served as a Field Training Officer and was a K9 Handler to Thor for the past 7 years. Chief Musser stated that “he is one of our most active officers on the road. He has used that experience to gain an enormous amount of institutional knowledge. He is driven by his great knack for coaching, teaching, and training the other road officers in our department.”
