I would like to welcome you to the Perkins Township Fire Department website. As the Fire Chief it is my pleasure to speak to you on behalf of the 48 dedicated, professional men and women of your fire department. The purpose of this website is to provide you information regarding the resources available to you, a history of your department, information about our recent incidents and events, and how you may contact us with questions or comments you may have.
The mission of the Perkins Township Fire Department is to deliver the most effective and efficient services possible to the community, in the safest, most professional manner possible, with the resources available to us. This mission is accomplished through prevention, education, preparation, response, and evaluation activities.
The Perkins Township Fire Department has provided emergency response to the community since 1953. This response is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The department provides fire, rescue, emergency medical, hazmat, and technical rescue services to Perkins Township and the surrounding communities. The personnel responding to these calls of service are undoubtedly the greatest assets of the fire department.
In addition to emergency response, the department also provides a variety of non-emergency services. Some of these valuable services include public education, child safety education, fire safety inspections, home safety inspections, the lock-box program, smoke detector program, CPR training, and fire extinguisher training. These services are critical to helping reduce the number of emergencies and limit the damage in the event of an emergency.
