On Wednesday, October 29th we celebrated a significant milestone with the official groundbreaking for Perkins Township’s new central fire station.
The new headquarters will be located at 407 Woodlawn Ave. This location was determined based on a consultant’s review of call volume and response times for all areas of the Township.
The Board of Trustees is proud to fund this project without requesting a new levy or adding any additional tax burden on residents. The Board has been careful stewards of taxpayer funding by managing its financial resources and committing funds to this project over time. This will be the largest capital improvement project ever undertaken by the Township.
Crews will begin construction in November 2025 and the new headquarters is projected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
